Manistee Area Links
Located on Lake Michigan's West coast, Manistee has been a Great Lakes shipping port for over 100 years. Manistee is one of the most productive fishing ports on the Great Lakes from early Spring to late Fall.
Manistee has two river systems, the Big and Little Manistee. Both rivers produce the majority of natural fish that enter Lake Michigan, and in addition to the natural reproduction, each river system received supplemental stocking of trout and salmon
The proximity of Manistee offers great structure, just 3 miles offshore there is a steep drop off which sets up and holds fish all year. That's one reason why Manistee is home to many fishing tournaments and record fish!
